When will I receive feedback on my submission?
- The Journal: Coaches return edits and feedback within 48 hours after submission, with an additional 48 hours for students to revise. Feedback is also provided over weekends.
- 1:1 Tutoring: Feedback are returned within 48 hours after submission.
What if I'm not satisfied with the final edit for The Journal?
Please ensure that all changes from the first and second rounds of feedback have been applied. If additional adjustments are needed, submit a ticket here with a list of changes and the final version of the article. We will assist in reaching out to the publisher.
How do I view the coach's comments?
For worksheets, coaches will provide in-line edits and overall feedback. Download the file as a Word document to view in-line edits—avoid viewing in Google Docs, as it may not display formatting correctly.
For regular assignments, coaches will provide in-line edits and overall feedback directly on the submission. Students can log into their accounts to view the feedback.
What do editors focus on for The Journal?
Editors review multiple aspects, including the structure, information organization, argument validity, source requirements, and grammar. They also check for plagiarism, as originality is crucial. Students learn how to integrate information properly into their essays without copying content.
Is my 1:1 meeting coach the same person providing written feedback?
Yes, your child will work with the same coach for both written feedback and 1:1 sessions throughout the program, ensuring consistency and continuity in support.
