Author's Workshop

Everything you need to know about the Author's Workshop program.

Program overview

The Author’s Workshop is an exciting opportunity for young, passionate writers who are eager to explore their creative process and enhance their storytelling skills. Throughout the program, students work one-on-one with experienced writing coaches to draft, revise, and finalize a polished manuscript. By the end of the course, students will have their work professionally published! Each participant will receive a printed copy of their very own book, shipped directly to their door. This program is a fantastic chance to turn imagination into a published masterpiece.

Homework

Homework in the Author's Workshop Course is personalized based on each student's goals. Coaches guide students in selecting one of the following book genres, with students expected to write approximately 800 words per week.

In the final 2-3 weeks of the program, students will spend their time revising, copyediting, and proofreading the entirety of their manuscript alongside their coach. This will ensure that the final piece is in tip-top shape for publication and printing.
