A double graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a Master's degree in Education, Culture, & Society and a Bachelor's degree in English & Cognitive Science. Prior to joining Letterly, she worked as a full-time middle school teacher and afterschool program organizer in West Philadelphia.
A Fulbright Scholar & Yale Graduate
An artist and writer based in Reykjavik, this instructor graduated from Yale University with a Bachelorβs degree in Art cum laude, with a distinction in the major. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a Fulbright scholar, working with writers and artists of all levels.

Double Helix and Cosmos are magazines published by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), an Australian Government agency responsible for scientific research and innovation. Both publications aim to make the world of science accessible to all with an emphasis on clear reporting, stunning images, and tons of room for curiosity.
Double Helix has partnered with Letterly, an education technology tool powered by 1:1 writing instruction, to host this STEM-focused journalism bootcamp. Students will read and write about articles from DoubleHelix, Cosmos, and other scientific sources to conduct research and produce their own written content.

How many students will be in the program?
The program is designed to provide personalized attention, with each student working 1-on-1 with their coach. Each student's progress is independent of other students. However, each bootcamp has a limited number of seats to ensure everyone receives adequate support. So please sign up as soon as you can to enroll in the bootcamp that works best with your schedule.

The live webinar times don't work for me. Will I have access to the recordings?
Yes, youβll be able to find the recording of the webinar in your submission portal.

Can I choose my coach, or will one be assigned to me?
Coaches are assigned based on their expertise and the studentβs specific needs. If you would like to switch your coach for any reason, please notify us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What is the turnaround time for each round of edits?
Coaches typically provide feedback within 2-3 days of receiving your draft.

How do I submit my writing for review?
Essays are submitted through our online submission portal, which is easy to use and accessible at any time.

If I donβt finish all the drafts, can I finish later and get my coach to edit them?
Our bootcamp is designed to ensure you complete your drafts within the program's timeframe. We do this to make sure you have a chance to get published!

What is your refund policy?
At Letterly, we prioritize our customers' satisfaction and aim to provide a fair and transparent refund policy for our bootcamps.
If you are unable to attend the bootcamp you've signed up for, you are eligible for a full cash refund minus a 10% processing fee, provided the cancellation is made before the webinar starts. To initiate a refund, please contact our customer support team at support@letterly.com with your registration details. Our team will review your request and process the refund within 7 business days. The refunded amount will be credited to the original payment method after deducting the 10% processing fee.
After the webinar has started, refunds will not be considered. However, we offer flexibility for you to switch to a later available bootcamp at no additional cost. To switch to a different bootcamp, please contact our support team, and they will assist you in rescheduling your participation.
